John Malkovich Stars in New Film Shooting in Morocco’s Ouarzazate
After a few months of pause, film and series shootings have resumed in Morocco. Producers, actors and directors are rushing in, taking advantage of the easing of restrictive measures. This is the case, for example, in Ouarzazate, where the filming of the feature film "Seneca, the creation of earthquakes" by Robert Schwentke is taking place.
This film, co-produced by Kamal Debbagh, brings together an impressive cast of international actors, including John Malkovitch and the Franco-Moroccan Nadia Benzakour. In an interview with SNRTnews, Kamal Debbagh, the co-producer of the film, discussed the ongoing filming in Ouarzazate.
He talks about his relationship with Robert Schwentke, the enthusiasm of the actors who are delighted to act in Morocco. "Seneca is a modest film that has nothing to do with Hollywood films. With Robert Schwentke, it’s a collaboration that has been going on for about twenty years."
"Seneca, the creation of earthquakes" features foreign actors but also a Moroccan actress, Nadia Benzakour, who according to the co-producer is very professional. "I am happy to know that in a film that means a lot to me, there is a Moroccan actress who has proven herself internationally and who, according to the director, plays the role entrusted to her to perfection. I am proud to know that such a professional is on this adventure with me."
