Japanese Auto Parts Maker Mitsui Kinzoku Act Invests $12.5M in New Tangier Factory

A new investment in the automotive sector in Morocco with the announcement of the installation in the Tangier Automotive City (TAC) of the Japanese group Mitsui Kinzoku Act.
This specialist in door mechanisms has just put 12.5 million euros, or about 130 million dirhams, on the table for the construction of a factory on a site of more than 20,000 m2. In detail, the first phase of the work will concern a 5,600 m2 production site that will house assembly lines equipped with the latest Japanese technology.
A 1,200 m2 building is also scheduled to be built, the group said in a statement, noting that initially 100 people should be hired before welcoming another 200, for a total of 300 employees.
The outlets for its new factory are numerous, the group says, with the locking mechanisms to supply Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi in Morocco but also in Europe. In addition, its installation in the TAC will allow it maritime connectivity with almost the entire planet.
6,400 employees worldwide work at Mitsui Kinzoku Act, which has about ten facilities around the world supplying the major automotive manufacturers.
