Jamel Debbouze to Star in New Airport-Based Sitcom ’Terminal’

The Franco-Moroccan comedian Jamel Debbouze announced good news on the occasion of the broadcast of the Marrakech du rire on M6 on Tuesday, July 19.
"I have very good news. I’m going to make a little series, a sitcom, just like for H. [...] I’m very proud and we hope to touch on [what we were able to do with H]," Jamel Debbouze announced on Europe 1 a few hours before the broadcast of the Marrakech du rire on M6. H is the comedy series on the hospital, broadcast between 1998 and 2002 on Canal+ which revealed him to the general public.
This new sitcom is called Terminal. "It’s going to take place in an airport, it’s called Terminal. It will be filmed in public, with the new generation of comedians you’ve certainly seen on the Marrakech du rire [the comedy festival he created in 2011, editor’s note], among others," details the Franco-Moroccan comedian, without however specifying the date of its broadcast on the pay channel. He says he is waiting for the "green light".
The co-producer of the film Une belle équipe does not intend to offer a reboot of H to cinema lovers. "It’s something we don’t want to deflower. It was a series that corresponded to a moment. I’m afraid that if we put the costumes back on, it will be disappointing."
