Jamel Debbouze Opens Luxurious Mediterranean Restaurant Atop Paris’ Arab World Institute

The restaurant of Jamel Debbouze, "Dar Mima", located on the top floor of the Institut du monde arabe in Paris, offers good Mediterranean cuisine, but reserved for a certain clientele. The setting is radiant and worth a visit.
In collaboration with Laurent de Gourcuff, founder of the Paris Society group, Jamel Debbouze has just opened the restaurant "Dar Mima", in tribute to his mother Fatima. The establishment is located on the 9th and top floor of the Institut du monde arabe, rue des Fossés Saint-Bernard, Paris (5th). A decor worthy of an oriental palace, with zelliges, woodwork, gilding, dyes and velvet seating, welcomes you. The atmosphere is very warm, reports cnews.
The restaurant offers all the culinary specialties of Morocco. You can find the Zaalouk salad made with roasted eggplants and tomatoes, the cheese briouates and the pastilla, a mixture of merguez, tomatoes and candied onions, the classic kefta tagine with eggs, another tagine combining octopus, sea bass, sea bream and shrimp, accompanied by candied vegetables, not to mention the three couscous options including the "Mima" made with lamb, merguez and chicken.
The restaurant is reserved for a certain clientele, due to the sometimes high prices of certain dishes and wines. But it remains one of the trendy gastronomic addresses of the beginning of the year, with a festive setting and a magnificent view of Paris. Dar Mima is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12pm to 2:30pm and from 7pm to 2am. Its terrace will be open in the summer season, and will undoubtedly be very popular with tourists and Parisians.
