Jailed Moroccan Journalists Launch Hunger Strike on Human Rights Day

Moroccan journalists Omar Radi and Soulaiman Raïssouni have decided to observe a 24-hour hunger strike on December 10, World Human Rights Day, to protest against the continuation of their pre-trial detention without trial.
In an appeal launched on Sunday, December 6, the two journalists say they have made this decision in order to "protest against their continued pre-trial detention but also to express their solidarity with all political prisoners of opinion, and all social movements". They claim to be "arbitrarily detained in the Oukacha prison in Ain Sebaâ, for several months now" and proclaim their innocence "in the face of fabricated accusations".
In their message, the two journalists "call on various political, human rights and trade union organizations to make their headquarters available in the different cities of the country to those who wish to start a hunger strike, taking into account the precautionary measures and the requirements of the state of health emergency".
The two detainees also expressed their solidarity with all journalists and human rights defenders detained in Egypt, Algeria...
