Israeli Tourism Leaders Convene in Marrakech to Explore Morocco’s Travel Potential

At the initiative of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), Israeli tourism leaders are in conclave from December 5 to 8 in Marrakech. The objective is to get closer to their Moroccan counterparts in order to be informed once again of the tourism potential of Morocco.
Gathered as part of the 2022 congress of the ITTAA, the Israeli tourism association, these professionals are invited to the ochre city to participate in the revitalization of the tourism sector, strongly impacted by the health crisis. More precisely, 250 Israeli participants including tour operators, travel agents, communication agencies and specialized media will be able to discover the new tourist offers of Morocco, indicates a press release from the office.
On this occasion, Adel El Fakir, Director General of the ONMT, declared that "for Moroccan tourism, the presence of Israeli tourism decision-makers is an opportunity to put them in contact with our Moroccan operators." And to add that "Morocco has exceptional assets for Israeli travelers."
This is the second time that this association, which has 400 travel agents and 4,500 tourism consultants, has brought its members together in Marrakech, where the 1995 edition of its annual congress was also held, the same source adds, stating that the ITTAA’s mission is to federate professionals, represent them at the institutional level and support them in the development of their activities.
Since the normalization of Morocco-Israel relations, the Israeli market has become one of the most important for Morocco. By the end of 2022, 70,000 Israeli tourists have been received in Morocco, paving the way for significant growth in the coming years, it is specified.
