Israeli Theater Troupe to Make Historic Debut in Morocco Following Diplomatic Normalization

Thanks to the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, an Israeli theater troupe will perform for the first time ever in the kingdom, where it will offer three artistic performances to lovers of the performing arts.
Composed of 25 actors, musicians and staff, the "The Jaffa Theater" troupe will perform in Rabat, Marrakech and Casablanca in September, for two weeks, reports Jerusalem Post. It will perform three plays (Umm Kulthum, Farid El Atrash and Papajina) "supported by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation (of Israel, ed.) and the Ministry of Culture in Morocco".
Yassin Othman, a Moroccan businessman residing in Geneva, founder and president of AKAL, a company engaged in international marketing, social solidarity and sustainable development in Africa, is behind this project. The troupe members "are delighted with the trip to Morocco," said Yigal Ezrati, CEO of "The Jaffa Theater". For us, Arabs and Jews, working together all year round in Arabic and Hebrew, the trip to Morocco seems to be a natural continuation of our activity that brings together Arab and Hebrew culture.
