Israeli Irrigation Giant Netafim Opens First North African Factory in Morocco

Operating in Morocco for nearly 30 years, the world leader in micro-irrigation technologies has decided to expand its activities by setting up its new factory in Kenitra.
In Morocco since 1994, it was in 2017 that Netafim created its subsidiary thanks to the efforts of agronomist engineer Marouane Benmouama. This new factory, the first in North Africa, will be installed in Kenitra. It will initially have to supply the domestic market, before expanding to other countries in the region.
With a total cost of $2.8 million or 30 million dirhams, it will mainly produce drippers for irrigation. This new factory is starting its activities on March 2 and aims to create several hundred jobs. The inauguration ceremony will take place in the presence of the Ministers of Agriculture, Industry, the Ambassadors of Mexico and Israel, as well as other personalities working in the agricultural sector and others.
During the event, several partnership agreements will be signed with the National Institute of Agronomic Research (INRA) and the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute of Agadir.
