Israeli-French Law Firms Join Forces in Morocco, Expanding Middle East-Africa Legal Services

Thanks to the normalization of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, two business law firms, the French UGGC and the Israeli Firon & Co. are joining forces to create a joint branch in Casablanca.

Firon & Co, one of the largest law firms in Israel, has entered into a partnership with the Moroccan subsidiary of the French firm UGGC Avocats to create the Firon-UGGC Africa alliance. This partnership sets up joint teams structured around a steering committee, a development committee and an operational committee. Their ambition is to create a unique and innovative offer by combining the branches of M. Firon & Co. in the Middle East and Eastern Europe with those of UGGC Avocats in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. The Firon-UGGC alliance thus brings together more than 450 lawyers practicing in more than 40 areas of commercial law practice such as mergers and acquisitions, high technology, real estate, health, antitrust, litigation, banking, financing, etc., 120 partners, 40 areas of expertise and 20 offices, reports Ynetnews.

This project aims to support and accompany investments between Israel and France as well as Morocco and more generally between the Middle East, Africa and Europe. According to Zvi Firon, managing partner of the M. Firon & Co firm, "the Moroccan subsidiary offers a clear advantage to Israeli companies exploring business opportunities following the strengthening of relations between Israel and Morocco." And to add: "Firon and UGGC are two firms that stand out for their international vision and the quality of the services they offer their clients. The partnership we are establishing is therefore a completely natural evolution, which will strengthen our ability to provide cross-border legal services, essential in the current climate, to a greater number and a greater variety of clients, thus helping them to meet ever-increasing international challenges."
