Israeli Diplomat Clarifies: Morocco Not Part of Trump’s Gaza Plan

The information that US President Donald Trump would have included Morocco in his plan for Gaza is inaccurate. Israël Bachar, Israeli consul in Los Angeles, clarifies his remarks.
"From what I hear, the project would involve three countries - Morocco - Somaliland and Puntland - but it is still under development and the details remain unknown," Israël Bachar, Israeli consul in Los Angeles, had said on the American channel CBN TV when discussing Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza. During a joint press conference after his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington DC, the US president proposed placing Gaza under American control and organizing a relocation of the Palestinian population to other countries.
In a message on X, Israël Bachar came back on his remarks. "My comments regarding Morocco were not accurate," he wrote, thus ruling out any inclusion of the kingdom in Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza. Contacted by Médias24, Youssef Ben David, director of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco, provided a formal denial. "I can reiterate what our consul general in Los Angeles has already clarified, namely that his reference to Morocco during his interview with CBN was not accurate," he said.
