Israeli Business Delegation to Explore Investment Opportunities in Morocco

The president of the Morocco-Israel Business Council, Steve O’Hana, announced the upcoming visit to Morocco of a group of Israeli businessmen. They are coming on a prospecting mission to explore the investment and trade opportunities offered by the Kingdom.

The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) organized a webinar dedicated to presenting the commercial and investment opportunities available to Israeli companies in Morocco. During this meeting, Steve O’Hana indicated that the council "will be pleased to welcome Israeli economic delegations and to lead Moroccan business delegations to Israel, now that travel restrictions have been lifted".

During this webinar, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Israeli Employers Business Organization (IEBO) committed to making the Morocco-Israel Business Council "a concrete and effective platform to support companies in their investment in the two countries and boost trade exchanges".

To attract Israeli investors, Steve O’Hana recalled that Morocco enjoys political and macroeconomic stability. He highlighted its qualified human capital, world-class infrastructure, its geographical position as a gateway to Europe and a hub for Africa, its 54 free trade agreements or the resilience and innovation of its private sector.

"Over the past two decades, Morocco has accelerated its economic transformation, making it today one of the most attractive destinations for investors worldwide. Many reforms, led under the guidance of King Mohammed VI, have been implemented to preserve the stability of the country’s institutional and macroeconomic framework," he stressed.

He added that "infrastructure development projects have been launched, including strengthening electricity production capacities and the motorway network, the construction of major ports such as Tanger Med and the upcoming Nador Med and Dakhla Atlantique ports", while recalling that the Kingdom is currently implementing a new development model that includes strategic projects for a greener, more inclusive and innovative economy.

For the president of the Morocco-Israel Business Council, Israeli investors could not have chosen a better time to visit Morocco to see the opportunities on the ground.
