Israeli airlines have suspended their flights between Morocco and Israel during this period marked by the war between the Palestinian Hamas movement and the Hebrew state.
The two Israeli airlines El Al and Arkia have suspended their flights operated between Marrakech and Tel Aviv since Monday, October 23 and until further notice, reports Le360. In total, 14 flights scheduled by these companies, including 3 on Monday (2 El Al flights and 1 Arkia flight), are affected by this suspension. Since the spectacular attack by Hamas and the Israeli retaliation, the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) had suspended its flights between Casablanca and Tel Aviv: the AT228 flights from October 14 to 18 and the AT229 flights from October 15 to 19, 2023 to and from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Subsequently, it extended these suspensions until October 30, 2023. It offered two options to passengers affected by these cancellations: make a free change to their reservation, subject to availability, for a new departure within 15 days of the scheduled date of resumption of flights, and obtain a full refund of the ticket via the original payment method.
