Israeli Actors in Morocco for Jesus Film Placed Under High Security

Israeli actors who have arrived in Morocco to participate in the filming of a Hollywood film have been placed under high protection.

An unusual stay for Israeli actors in Morocco. Ori Pfeffer and Noa Cohen and other Israeli actors who are currently in the kingdom as part of the filming of a Hollywood film centered on the life of Jesus have been placed under high protection. The instructions of the National Security Council (NSC) are mandatory.

"They are prohibited from sharing a location and saying where they are in order not to endanger their lives," sources close to the film’s production told Mako, adding that they (the actors) are also "prohibited from sharing their location in real time, let alone the location of their photo shoots." Ori Pfeffer and Noa Cohen have also posted a video on Instagram showing them in the country, but without a location.

Since the surprise and spectacular attack by Hamas on October 7 and the Israeli retaliation, the National Security Council (NSC) has given instructions to its citizens wishing to travel to Morocco. It has raised the kingdom to level 3, which recommends postponing non-essential travel. "Given the fear that terrorist entities may try to harm Israelis in Morocco and in the context of Operation Swords of Fire, avoid any non-essential travel to Morocco," it advised in December.

Since October, many Moroccans have been demonstrating for Palestine throughout the country. Gathered in Rabat at the end of December, 10,000 people denounced "a war of extermination in Gaza," as well as the kingdom’s ties with Israel. The protesters also called for the severing of relations with the Hebrew state, demanded the end of cooperation agreements with Tel Aviv and called for the closure of the Israeli liaison office.
