Israel Evacuates Diplomats from Morocco Amid Pro-Palestinian Protests

Israel has proceeded to evacuate its diplomatic personnel from Rabat on October 18, following massive demonstrations expressing solidarity with the Palestinians.
These protest movements, which also affected Amman and several Israeli embassies around the world, followed the tragedy that occurred at the Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital in Gaza, where an explosion resulted in the death of 471 individuals and 314 injured. While the Palestinian authorities point to an Israeli air strike as the origin of the tragedy, Israeli officials refute these allegations. The investigation to elucidate the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
In the face of these events, Israel has intensified security around its diplomatic representations around the world. It is also being considered that other evacuations of personnel in the embassies of the MENA region may be carried out. In the meantime, the staff of the diplomatic missions concerned have been instructed to limit their movements.
The Israeli authorities are urging their nationals to strictly comply with the official directives issued in this context, also encouraging them to maintain constant contact with the embassies and consulates.
