Israel and Arab Partners Explore Energy Collaboration Following Normalization Deals

Prospects for cooperation in the energy sector were the subject of discussions between the Israeli Minister of Energy and his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Sudan and Bahrain. A first since the normalization agreements of these four Arab countries with the Hebrew state.
According to a statement from the Israeli minister’s office, Yuval Steinitz, the stakeholders in the telephone conference discussed the impact of the normalization agreement on sectors such as oil and gas, renewable energies and research and development. The Energy Ministers of the United States and Egypt also participated in the meeting.
"The ministers discussed how diplomatic relations between the countries could revolutionize national security, economic prosperity and add substance to the peace agreements, including investments in energy research and development, infrastructure deployment and technologies," the same source said.
