ISIS Supporter Arrested in Spain for Alleged Terrorist Recruitment

National police and Mossos d’Esquadra agents arrested in Vespella de Gaia (Tarragona) a 38-year-old Moroccan, radicalized and pro-ISIS, accused of jihadist indoctrination.

The suspect was arrested on Monday at his home. He is accused of distributing radical and violent material to third parties, encouraging them to commit terrorist acts. According to the investigators, he is a radicalized individual who has pledged allegiance to ISIS.

The Moroccan has taken various security measures, such as constantly changing addresses, to avoid being caught by the police. He squatted in uninhabited houses, far from urban centers, according to ABC.

The pro-ISIS individual is known to the police and the justice system for various crimes. During his arrest, the agents seized several electronic devices that will be analyzed. He has been made available to the National Court, which ordered his provisional detention.
