After authorization from the Moroccan authorities, the Irish government successfully repatriated 156 people to Ireland on Saturday on a flight operated by Ryanair.
According to the Irish embassy, the 156 passengers on the Marrakech-Dublin flight included Irish citizens as well as citizens of several other European Union countries and the United Kingdom.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Simon Coveney praised the "great work" done by the embassy in Morocco for the success of the operation. No other direct flight to Dublin is planned for the moment, he added.
