Interpol Captures French Drug Lord in Morocco After 14-Year Manhunt

Interpol has arrested a dangerous French drug trafficker of Moroccan origin in Casablanca after 14 years on the run. He is accused of belonging to a drug trafficking gang.
Drug trafficking, several armed homicides including the murder of a Franco-Moroccan in Poitiers over a case of profits from the sale of 600 kg of drugs, are among the charges against this Franco-Moroccan.
All these crimes had been committed before 2007 and the international arrest warrant had been issued against this criminal that year. He managed to evade the authorities’ vigilance thanks to the false documents he used during his many travels. In 14 years, he has traveled to several countries before settling in the Gulf.
The Interpol red notice issued just three days ago allowed the border police at Mohammed VI Airport in Casablanca to identify and arrest him. Being of Moroccan nationality, the man will be tried in Morocco for the crimes committed in France and will therefore not be extradited.
