Insulin Shortage Threatens Diabetics in Casablanca Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

The shortage of insulin stocks adds to the psychosis of millions of Casablancans, mainly diabetic people, confined to their homes due to the coronavirus pandemic raging in the kingdom.
For several weeks, the thousands of diabetics, deprived of insulin, have had difficulty obtaining it from the municipal health offices in Casablanca.
According to the statements of dozens of patients, the shortage situation already observed for some time, is likely to have repercussions on their state of health, especially since the complication rate is very high for weakened patients.
The situation is even more critical for the elderly who fear having to leave their homes at the risk of contracting Covid-19. This is why diabetics are calling on the officials of the Casablanca City Council to remedy this situation as soon as possible.
