"Indiana Jones 5" Filming Locations Include Morocco, Harrison Ford Returns

The production team of the fifth adventure of the "Indiana Jones" saga starring Harrison Ford is setting up this summer in Fez and Oujda in Morocco, according to the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM).
Begun in London on June 7, this fifth adventure of the famous and iconic archaeologist played by Harrison Ford, who will play with Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Shaunette Renée Wilson (The Resident) and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), specifies the same source.
While this fifth installment of the Lucasfilm franchise is produced by Steven Spielberg, supported by his traditional producers such as Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, its direction is entrusted to James Mangold, famous for the film Logan. The filming will be ensured by the Moroccan producer Zakaria Alaoui and his company Zak Productions, confides the same source.
A true saga, this film bought in 2012 by Disney comes to lengthen the list of major international productions filmed in Morocco, including James Bond, Jason Bourne, Mission Impossible, Game of Thrones or Homeland, noted the CCM, noting that Morocco owes this cinematographic success to the attractiveness of its filming space as well as the variety of sets offered by the kingdom.
To this are added, according to the CCM, the experience, the qualification of its technical teams, and the measures taken since 2017 by the Moroccan Cinematographic Center as well as the advantages granted to foreign producers.
