The Indian company, Samta Group, announced on Tuesday investments of more than $100 million in Morocco in the mining sector.
According to a statement from the group’s management, the decision to invest in Morocco stems from the business-friendly environment and the clear and rapid approval processes established by the authorities.
Also, "it took only one visit by our team to Morocco and a meeting with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) among others, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in New Delhi, for us to decide to invest in this country," it added.
"We commit to investing over $100 million over the next 5 years in the development of mining and mineral processing activities in Morocco. We aim to be a partner in improving overall economic well-being with a focus on sustainability and transparency," said Samta Group CEO Purushottam Agrawal.
