Morocco should achieve growth of 5.7% this year against 4.5% initially forecast, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In a report entitled "World Economic Outlook", the Bretton Woods institution has revised upwards its forecast made in April. Estimated at 5.7%, it would be the highest in the MENA region.
With this rate, Morocco will do better in particular than Egypt (3.3%), Tunisia (3%), Algeria (3.4%), the United Arab Emirates (2.2%), as well as Jordan (2%).
It should be noted that this revision by the IMF comes after that of the World Bank, which revealed last week that the Kingdom would improve its GDP by 3.2% with a growth rate of 5.3% this year.
