Illegal Gambling in Casablanca Cafes Sparks Resident Outcry, Calls for Closure

Unauthorized bets are being organized in certain cafes in Hay Hassani, causing the wrath of Casablancans. They are calling on the authorities to close these establishments.
Many residents are angry with the owners of the cafes where this illegal activity is taking place, reports Assabah. In their eyes, this activity represents a real danger to the safety of the residents as it rhymes with theft, aggression and acts of violence.
Faced with this situation, they filed a complaint with the prefect of the Hay Hassani district. In this complaint, they denounce the activity and call on the authorities to close these establishments. They fear for the future of their children and young people who risk developing vices because of these illegal bets.
The whistleblowers claim to have repeatedly asked the owners of the cafes concerned to remove the gambling machines from their businesses. But to no avail. They only hope for the intervention of the public authorities to put an end to this illicit activity.
