Iconic American Chain Fatburger Opens First Location in Marrakech, Morocco

The FAT (Fresh. Authentic. Tasty.) Brands group, the parent company of the American premium hamburger chain Fatburger, has announced the opening of the first Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express restaurant in Marrakech.
Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express is located in Marrakech on M Avenue. The restaurant offers high-end American cuisine, including custom-made burgers and award-winning wings. "Over the past 70 years, Fatburger has developed a loyal customer base around the world," said Jake Berchtold Coo, Head of the Fast Casual Division at FAT Brands.
"Although our burgers are often at the forefront, it is also the culinary experience itself that has allowed us to now have more than 200 restaurants worldwide. We look forward to introducing Marrakech residents to our famous history and showing them why we have earned the title of Hollywood’s favorite burger," he added.
Fatburger means fat burger. Lovie Yancey, a 35-year-old African-American, is the founder of this chain. Manager of a small restaurant in Tucson, Arizona, she moved to Los Angeles in 1947 to open a small hamburger stand. Fatburger became famous in the 1990s. To this day, the chain continues to enjoy undiminished success.
