How France will help Morocco build "its" 2030 World Cup

France and Morocco will begin the operational phase of their collaboration for the organization of the 2030 World Cup in early April. This key step aims to provide technical support and cutting-edge expertise to the Kingdom.

The special envoy to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gérard Wolf, announced the activation of the bilateral "Task Force". The launch of this joint work will coincide with the official visit of the new French Minister of Foreign Trade, Nicolas Forissier, scheduled for April 2.

This mobilization will bring together all members of the French side to structure the sharing of know-how. The teams will focus on developing innovative solutions to strengthen Morocco’s hosting capacities for this tournament co-organized with Spain and Portugal.

This operational progress concretizes the official agreement signed on April 24, 2025. The partnership had been sealed during a dedicated economic forum, chaired by Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and the former French minister Laurent Saint-Martin, in the presence of French companies.

The implementation of this support commission will now have to define the logistical and infrastructural priorities. The deployment of this expertise will aim to ensure a high level of organizational efficiency to offer an unprecedented experience to future spectators of the event.
