Homeless Spanish Teacher in Morocco Appeals to King Mohammed VI After Job Loss

Elena López Gómez, also known as Lena Saad, is a Spanish teacher working in Morocco since 2019. Fired and now living on the streets in Tetouan, she calls on King Mohammed VI for help.
In a video posted on social media, Elena denounces a violation of "several of her rights". The Spanish teacher at the Lerchundi Center in Tetouan explains how she was "fired for demanding a salary" and how she became homeless overnight. In short, she exposes her deplorable living conditions in Morocco, reports Ceuta Actualidad.
The Spanish writer and journalist mentions "accusations and lies in the certificates concerning the fire in her house" and confides that she has been a victim of police violence. She also indicates that she has already spent three months sleeping on the street, in a metal hut, on a staircase or on a straw mattress.
Elena says she still has faith in the Moroccan justice system, but calls on King Mohammed VI for help, as he is, according to her, the only one who can "do her justice".
