Homeless Moroccan Man Found Dead in Central Paris Tent, Cause Unknown

The lifeless body of a 51-year-old Moroccan homeless man was discovered, on Sunday, February 14, in a makeshift tent, in the center of Paris, rue de Turbigo (1st), in the Étienne-Marcel district. The reasons for his death remain, for the moment, unknown.
The inanimate and "skeletal" body of a Moroccan homeless man was found last Sunday around 7 p.m. in Paris, in an "advanced state of decomposition," reports Le Parisien. This macabre discovery was made by other homeless people, comrades of the victim, who alerted the police.
At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, the remains were transported to the Forensic Institute where an autopsy will be performed. "The circumstances of the death remain unknown," says a police officer. For his part, Ariel Weil, the mayor (PS) of central Paris, says he has "requested additional information".
"What sadness, this death and what absurdity, when we have triggered the severe cold plan and there were accommodation places at the town hall of the 4th and at the Carreau du Temple (3rd)," he deplores.
Since January, more than 65 deaths have been recorded on the streets in France.
