Hollywood Stars Join Moroccan Thriller ’Redemption Day’ in High-Profile Production

The filming of "Redemption Day", a Moroccan film written and directed by Hicham Hajji, is currently taking place in the vicinity of Casablanca and Ouarzazate. Even the financing of the film, a geopolitical thriller, is entirely Moroccan. The film will also be shot in the USA and will be in English.

A cast that leaves you speechless: Andy Garcia (The Godfather 3, The Untouchables, Ocean’s Eleven...), Robert Knepper (the famous and frightening T-Bag from Prison Break), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Martin Donovan (who has acted in several films including Ant-Man and Silent Hill) but also Samy Naceri who needs no introduction after the film Taxi. It’s exactly the kind of project I want to do, so I’ll give myself all the means to make it as successful as possible, seen everywhere in the world and to put Morocco on a pedestal, to have a very good return on investment for those who believed in me so that they want to renew the adventure."

In terms of the synopsis, it is about an archaeologist who comes to Morocco for excavations, with a team, and who are kidnapped. Her former US Marine husband then comes to liberate her and, for this, infiltrates the terrorist group active on the Moroccan-Algerian border behind this kidnapping. He gets help from a BCIJ agent.
