High-Speed Chase in Spain Leads to Arrest of Drug Traffickers with 13 Kilos of Marijuana

The national police of Elda-Petrer (Alicante) arrested after a long car chase, two men of British and Moroccan origin transporting 13.5 kilos of marijuana as well as 2,803 euros in cash, hidden in a vehicle.
The two traffickers, aged 24 and 26, tried to escape the police who had located three suspicious vehicles driving in convoy and at high speed on one of the main roads of Elda. On certain routes, the three vehicles, one of which was transporting the 13 kilos of marijuana, were even making prohibited overtaking maneuvers, reports Antena 3.
In their flight, one of the vehicles lost control and ended up hitting the terrace of an establishment in the city, which allowed the police to apprehend the two traffickers of British and Moroccan nationality. They will be prosecuted for crimes against public health and road safety.
