Hervé Renard Sextortion Case: Court Postpones Hearing to March 4

The examination of the sextortion case involving Hervé Renard, former coach of the Moroccan national football team, has been postponed. This is the decision of the court of first instance in Oued Zem.
At the request of the lawyers of the two defendants, the court decided to postpone the examination of this case to March 4, reports Alyaoum 24. This time will allow them to better prepare their defense.
Victim of sextortion, Hervé Renard had filed a complaint against the perpetrators. Last week, the elements of the judicial police of Oued Zem had arrested two individuals. They had posed as a young Lebanese woman. They filmed the French technician in embarrassing situations.
At the end of the video chat, the two blackmailers threatened Hervé Renard to broadcast the filmed scenes if he did not pay them 100,000 DH. This trick did not work for them. The two defendants are being prosecuted in custody, in particular for attempted fraud, blackmail and for having filmed a person in a private place without their consent.
