Heightened Security as Marrakech Film Festival Begins

The city of Marrakech is preparing to host the 21st edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival, which opens its doors today. A significant security system has been put in place to ensure the smooth running of the event.
According to a source cited by Hespress, the Moroccan authorities have reinforced security around the festival’s key venues, such as the Palais des Congrès and the hotels where the many expected personalities will be staying.
Additional police patrols have been deployed in the streets surrounding the screening venues to ensure the safety of the public, guests, and participants.
The Marrakech International Film Festival is a major event that attracts stars, directors, and film professionals from around the world each year.
It should be noted that Danish director Thomas Vinterberg, who won an Oscar for his film "Drunk: Another Round", will chair the jury of this 21st edition, which will be held until December 7.
