Heavy Rains and Strong Winds Prompt Weather Alert in Northern Morocco

Locally stormy heavy rains (25-70 mm) and strong gusts of wind (70-95 km/h) with dust storms are expected on Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
These heavy rains will affect this Friday until 9:00 pm the provinces of Tetouan, Chefchaouen and Al Hoceima (40-70 mm) and the provinces of Ouezzane, Larache, Taounate, Taza, Tanger-Assilah, Fahs-Anjra and M’Diq-Fnideq (25-40 mm), according to a special bulletin of the "orange" level of vigilance from the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Strong gusts of wind with dust storms, with maximum speeds ranging from 70 to 95 km/h, are also expected in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz and Chichaoua, this Friday until 2:00 pm, according to the DGM.
The provinces of Larache, M’Diq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Ouezzane, Tanger-Assilah, El Hajeb, Meknes, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Salé, Rabat, Skhirate-Témara, Kenitra, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, Mediouna, Casablanca, Benslimane, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Khénifra, Ifrane, Sefrou and Errachidia will also be affected by these strong gusts, the same day from 4:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The strong gusts of wind with dust storms are also expected in the provinces of Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Tetouan, Nador, Berkane, Figuig, Driouch, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Guercif, Boulemane, Taza, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Tinghir, on Friday from 4:00 am to midnight, and in Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab, from 12:00 pm to midnight.
