Health Inspections Force Closure of Multiple Fast Food Outlets in Northern Morocco

In M’diq-Fnideq, several fast food establishments and ice cream parlors have been temporarily closed due to non-compliance with the legal and organizational regulations in force as part of the inspection controls.
In total, five temporary closure decisions have been issued against various fast food establishments and ice cream parlors, due to non-compliance with the legal and organizational regulations in force by the authorities of the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, reports the site Al3omk. In addition to these temporary closures, the authorities are ordering the owners of these establishments to quickly comply with the standards in force. Otherwise, their businesses will be permanently closed.
These measures were taken following inspection controls carried out by mixed commissions composed of local authorities, municipal health offices, the National Office of Sanitary Safety of Food Products and various concerned services in several restaurants, cafes and fast food establishments in the cities of M’diq-Fnideq and Martil, in order to verify their compliance with preventive measures and their respect for food health and safety standards. Their purpose was to identify the shortcomings and infractions that could compromise the sanitary safety conditions of the food products on display, and to ensure that these establishments do not endanger the health of summer visitors.
The mixed commissions will continue the daily inspection controls throughout the summer season, in order to compel the owners of fast food and ice cream parlors to respect the legal and administrative measures, and to ensure the quality of the products, as well as the health and safety of residents and visitors who prefer to spend their summer holidays in the region. And there are many of them.
