Hakim Ziyech Set to Leave Galatasaray Amid Salary Dispute

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is preparing to leave Galatasaray as early as the next winter transfer window. Sources close to the player indicate that this decision would be motivated by tensions with the Turkish club’s management, particularly due to delays in salary payments.
"The management of Galatasaray has not paid the Moroccan player’s monthly salary, which amounts to 250,000 euros (2.5 million dirhams) for more than four months," revealed an anonymous source to the site Madar21. "Galatasaray has also not paid part of the signing bonus," the source added.
Faced with this situation, and given the pressure exerted by the club’s management, Ziyech would have decided to leave Galatasaray. "Galatasaray is exerting ’pernicious’ pressure and using all possible methods to force Ziyech to leave in the next winter transfer window," the source said.
Rumors have circulated about a possible disagreement between Ziyech and the coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, following criticism made by the player on Morocco’s position regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. These allegations have been firmly denied by the source close to Ziyech.
"On the contrary, the player’s official representatives believe that the decision to exclude him from the national team was correct, especially since he was injured and only played a few minutes with his club. The national team is not there to satisfy moods," the source specified.
Ziyech, who has recovered from his injury, should therefore regain his place in the national team after his departure from Galatasaray. He is said to have already received offers from Rennes and Olympiacos.
To recall, Ziyech had joined Galatasaray in August 2023, after an initial loan from Chelsea. His stint in Turkey follows unsuccessful attempts to join Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Nassr.
