Hakim Ziyech Eyes Return to Ajax After Struggles at Chelsea and Galatasaray

The Hakim Ziyech saga continues to unfold. After a mixed spell at Chelsea and an uneven season at Galatasaray, the Moroccan international could well come full circle and return to the pitches of Ajax Amsterdam, his beloved club.
A true utility player for the Dutch team, the Moroccan had shone brightly before taking off for Chelsea in 2019. But in London, the fairy tale turned sour. Three disappointing seasons later, Ziyech had tried to relaunch himself in Turkey, at Galatasaray.
Despite promising starts and respectable statistics (8 goals, 4 assists in 23 games), the Turkish idyll seems to be coming to an end. Relegated to the bench in the last game, Ziyech apparently no longer has the confidence of his coach. A snub that has pushed the player to consider a hasty departure, believes Footmercato.
The Ajax management also sees the return of their former prodigy in a good light. But before being able to take action, Ajax must absolutely slim down its workforce. The timing is tight, but the sales of Carlos Forbs and the loan of Wijndal. could unlock the situation.
Saudi Arabia, where Ziyech enjoys a good reputation, also remains a credible option, the player seems to refuse this option for the moment, thinking perhaps that he can still make a name for himself before the Saudi dollars.
