Hakim Ziyech does not want to lower his salary

As negotiations are progressing well between Chelsea and AC Milan regarding the transfer of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, a major problem could complicate the arrival of the former Ajax star.
AC Milan wants to acquire the services of the Belgian prodigy from Bruges Charles De Ketelaere and Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech to strengthen its defense, reports MilanNews. The latter could have Roc Nation, the company that handled the transfer of his former teammate Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, as an intermediary. But the transfer of the former Ajax star could run into a major difficulty: a salary reduction.
Hakim Ziyech, who currently earns 6 million euros net per season, must agree to lower his salary and his club Chelsea must contribute to paying a portion of it. But the Atlas Lion is not, for the moment, willing to concede that. If his transfer were to be effective, AC Milan would pay him up to 4 to 4.5 million euros per year. Its internal salary cap will have to be raised in the long run.
