Gulf Leaders Extend Well Wishes to Morocco’s King Mohammed VI After Heart Surgery

King Mohammed VI had telephone exchanges on Tuesday, June 16 with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the exchanges, Their Majesties and Royal Highnesses presented the sovereign with their wishes for a speedy recovery and good health, following the successful surgery performed on Sunday, June 14 at the Royal Palace Clinic in Rabat, according to a royal communiqué.
King Mohammed VI was successfully operated on after presenting a recurrence of atrial flutter type cardiac arrhythmia on a healthy heart, reported the MAP.
His doctors recommended a complementary radiofrequency ablation, which took place this Sunday, June 14 at the said clinic, the same source specifies.
In February 2018, the king had undergone a similar operation in Paris, with restoration of normal heart rhythm.
