Good news for Hakim Ziyech
Atlas Lion Hakim Ziyech returned to training with his club Galatasaray on Wednesday. After more than a month of absence due to an ankle injury sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations, the winger is back in business.
Ziyech had gone to the Netherlands with Galatasaray’s permission to undergo medical examinations. Back in Istanbul, he is expected by his teammates and his coach for the upcoming league matches and the upcoming international deadlines with Morocco.
His injury had deprived the Atlas Lions of a major asset during the round of 16 of the CAN against South Africa where Morocco was eliminated prematurely. Walid Regragui, who is preparing the list of players for the matches against Angola and Mauritania on March 22 and 26, could therefore call up his main attacking asset.
The Moroccan team will play against Angola on Friday, March 22, before facing Mauritania on Tuesday, March 26 at the Grand Stade d’Agadir during the next international break. But the selection will have to do without certain good players.
