The second edition of the Phosphates Days was held from October 13 to 17 and brought together online 1,445 researchers and engineers from 25 countries. Unanimously, the participants in this virtual meeting confirmed the importance of R&D in the competitiveness of companies and the development of nations.
Organized by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, in collaboration with the global Phoresnet network (Phosphate research network), these days brought together 25 countries including Algeria, Guinea, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria, and Australia.
Present at the meeting, Abdelaâli Kossir, director of the technology transfer office of the UM6P, confirmed that the Kingdom could soon establish itself as the leading country in terms of scientific production and innovation. According to the Phoresnet coordinator and co-chair of the Conference, R&D is at the very heart of value creation and sustainable growth.
These phosphate days were marked by two highlights, namely the Young Researchers Days which brought together young researchers thirsty for knowledge in entrepreneurship and technology transfer. After receiving training, these young people submitted research projects to a jury who will select the best ones that will receive financial support for technology transfer and the industrialization of these results.
As for the International Conference on Phosphates, plenary and thematic conferences were organized. They revealed the main advances in mining exploration and exploitation, the engineering of complex fluid transport, in chemistry, processes and advanced materials, etc.
