Global Coalition Against ISIS Expands as 79 Nations Meet in Morocco

At the joint invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh was a success at all levels, the Moroccan Foreign Minister stressed on Wednesday in Marrakech.
In total, 79 countries, including 19 from Africa, 8 from Asia and 9 Arab world delegations, responded to the call from Bourita and Blinken. According to the report made by the Moroccan minister, more than 400 people, including 47 ministers, actively participated in the exchanges. The Coalition recorded the accession of Benin in Marrakech, thus becoming the 85th member. Benin, it should be remembered, has been the target of several terrorist attacks in recent months.
For Nasser Bourita, the success of this meeting also lies in "Morocco’s ability to formulate effective and unique national responses in its fight against the terrorist phenomenon, which gives it credibility at the international level, and makes its national experience a source of inspiration for many friendly and partner countries, particularly those on the African continent."
