German Tourist Dies After 200-Meter Fall Near Chefchaouen, Morocco

This Thursday, June 20, 2019, a tourist died after a fall of more than 200 meters in the vicinity of Chefchaouen, more precisely in Akchour. She died at the hospital, hours after her accident.
A 27-year-old German tourist died after arriving at the Chefchaouen hospital, according to the media Alyaoum24. She slipped in Akchour during a hike with friends and fell more than 200 meters (170 m according to other sources). But she could still have been saved.
Indeed, the people accompanying her called the Civil Protection. But according to the same media source, the elements of this service only arrived after about two hours, due to the difficulty of reaching the accident site. However, before their arrival, the victim had received first aid.
Moreover, to get her out of the place of her fall was also difficult. She died on arrival at the hospital, succumbing to her injuries. Her body was taken to the morgue. An investigation has been initiated to determine the responsibilities in this whole affair.
