German Air Systems Manufacturer Trox Shifts Production from Spain to Morocco

Trox, a German company specializing in the development, manufacture and distribution of components and systems for air conditioning and ventilation, is leaving Zaragoza (Spain) to settle in Tangier (Morocco).
Trox is preparing to transfer an aluminum production line from Zaragoza to Tangier, where it intends to open a new factory in the free zone, the third production unit in Africa after those in South Africa and Egypt, reports Aragondigital. This is a project that dates back three years. The German company had announced the transfer of part of its activity to Morocco but was "committed to bringing new, higher value-added activities, which are still pending," says Elperiodico de Aragon.
Ventilation and air conditioning products such as modular ventilation grilles, various ventilation components and the Spanish-type TKM air handling unit will come out of the 8,000 m² manufacturing plant in Tangier and be sold on the North and West African markets. "Production in the Tangier free zone will allow Trox to better exploit the potential of the North and West African country markets through better cost competitiveness," says the German group. This will contribute to the positive development of this region and make it the market leader here as well.
