Gad Elmaleh Celebrates Son’s Moroccan-Monégasque Heritage, Jokes About ’Monakech’ Blend

Canadian-Moroccan comedian Gad Elmaleh talks about the roots of his son Raphaël, whom he had with Charlotte Casiraghi, a member of the princely family of Monaco. He emphasizes "a Monakech blend", thus referring to Monaco and Marrakech.
The darling of the French is proud of the origins of his son Raphaël. The latter is Moroccan through his father and Monegasque through his mother, daughter of Caroline of Monaco. Gad Elmaleh talks about the teenager’s hobbies. "He rides horses like his mother and puts on a show like his father. It’s a ’Monakech’ blend," he joked in an interview with Paris Match. He also shared a video showing the child attached to a "flying carpet" pulled by his grandfather.
The Franco-Moroccan comedian and Charlotte Casiraghi had separated in 2015 after four years of living together. However, they maintain good relations and ensure the upbringing of their seven-year-old boy. Of their relationship, Gad Elmaleh says he has good memories. "No one else but me can tell that he was with Grace of Monaco’s granddaughter," he said.
