Fuel Prices Soar in Morocco, Hitting 13 Dirhams per Liter for Diesel

In Morocco, fuel prices at service stations have continued to rise to the dismay of motorists.
New surge in fuel prices at the pump in Morocco. The price of a liter of diesel exceeds the threshold of 13 dirhams. As for the price of a liter of gasoline, it varies between 14 and 15 dirhams. With this continuous surge in prices, Morocco ranks fifth among African countries with the highest prices this August, despite the recent significant drop in crude oil prices globally, according to the specialized fuel price monitoring site Global Petrol Prices. The kingdom is just behind the Central African Republic, Senegal, Zimbabwe and the Seychelles.
In Morocco, the price per liter has reached $1.493, placing it 52nd in the world. The kingdom is also ranked 8th in Africa and 1st in the Arab world in terms of the rise in diesel prices. According to reports, these increases should continue in the coming weeks.
