Fuel Prices Set to Surge in Morocco as Global Oil Costs Rise

Moroccans will have to prepare to spend more to refuel at service stations. These new prices could come into effect by Sunday, according to some professionals in the sector.
More grumbling in sight at service stations in Morocco. The price of gasoline will increase by more than 70 cents per liter, as will the price of diesel, which will see an increase of more than 1.5 dirhams per liter. Distributors explain this new change by the increase in the price of a barrel of oil on the global market in recent weeks.
Thus, as of Sunday, October 16, the price of diesel should reach 15 dirhams per liter, with a difference of a few cents depending on the distributors, while the price of gasoline will cost between 14.50 and 14.70 dirhams.
At the international level, the Brent oil price in dollars is $91.90 (-2.67%), while the price of a barrel of oil costs $86.03.
