French U18 Team Secures Promising Midfielder from Morocco

The Franco-Moroccan Nadir El Jamali, 17, has joined the French under-18 team at the expense of the Atlas Lions. The AS Saint-Étienne midfielder had worn the Moroccan national team jersey a few weeks ago.
Nadir El Jamali took advantage of this new international break to join the French U18s, reports the site Envers et contre tous. The young attacking midfielder accepted the call-up from Landry Chauvin to participate in the friendly double confrontation against Turkey and the Netherlands.
The French under-18 team flew to Sapanca, Turkey, where they played their first match against their Turkish counterparts. Starter, El Jamali failed to open his goal tally. He was replaced in the second half by Marius Courcoul, who plays for SCO Angers. The match ended in a victory for the Turks with a goal scored in the 50th minute by Berkay Aslan.
For their second friendly match, the French U18s will face the Netherlands team this Saturday, November 16 in Gölcük, Turkey.
