French Soccer Star Adil Rami Slams Macron’s Stance on Muslims After Terror Attack

The Franco-Moroccan player Adil Rami expressed his disgust at the campaign launched against Muslims by President Emmanuel Macron in the aftermath of the terrorist attack perpetrated against a history-geography teacher.
In a video widely shared on social media, the 2018 world champion addresses the French head of state. "Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I’m not proud, I’m disgusted today, and I’m even offended. Offended, because we know we can’t joke about everything, especially at this time. And I see that Macron, you’re putting us in the shit. France is diversity, brother, I tell you," lamented the French international.
While recalling the attacks against Charlie Hebdo, the Franco-Moroccan defender feels he does not understand these provocations of Muslims. "I was lucky to meet you. No problem, Legion of Honor, the Élysée... But sincerely, I say it, I’m disgusted, it’s a disaster, I’m not proud. There are things I can’t stay silent about. I’m Muslim, I try to be a perfect man, because you have to know that Muslims are getting closer to perfection. And unfortunately, whenever there’s a problem, highlight the Muslims, the Muslims. It’s not a minority, they’re crazy, it’s even worse! And you, Macron, who supports that!" he added.
