French Rugby Team’s $300 Jersey Sparks Controversy; Affordable Replica Made in Morocco

While a controversy has arisen in France over the price (300 euros) of the latest jersey of the French rugby XV, Le Coq Sportif claims that a replica exists and it is made in Morocco.
The ultimate creation of Le Coq Sportif for the French rugby players, before the return of Adidas. Offered for sale on the Rugby World Cup website for 300 euros, its price is subject to controversy. The reason for this pricing? A collector’s item: only 1,300 copies of this jersey will be available.
The latter, entirely designed and manufactured on French soil, bears unique numbers, a tribute to the seamstresses of Romilly-sur-Seine and the weavers of Ardèche. Each jersey is delivered in a special packaging and bears the inscription "Our jersey, our history, our country" on the collar. This, it is said, would justify this price.
On the other hand, a less exclusive replica jersey is also offered on the Federation’s website at a more affordable price of 95 euros. Unlike its prestigious elder, the latter is knitted and dyed in Spain before being manufactured in Morocco.
