French Rapper Niska’s New Album "The World is Mean" Tops Charts from Marrakech Base

On Friday, November 5, French rapper of Congolese origin Niska made his comeback on the music scene with a new album titled "The world is mean". With this new opus composed of 17 tracks, [the rapper who has been living in Marrakech for some time now is shaking up everything on the listening platforms.
At 27, Niska has managed to make a name for himself in the French rap scene with a style that is unique to him. Moreover, his new album is making waves on the listening platforms. In an interview with the newspaper Le Parisien, he spoke about this album release, his installation in Morocco and his projects on the musical level. He confesses to having been afraid of the public’s reaction with "The world is mean", but he is pleasantly surprised by the welcome given by music lovers. "It’s a hit or miss. It’s a time when I’m afraid, I cut myself off from social media, from Twitter. Some songs are over two years old, I had doubts but people love it".
Like many artists before him, Niska left Essonne in France to settle permanently in Morocco, more precisely in Marrakech. He said that life in Morocco is worth a visit and that he is learning to live in the greatest simplicity and discretion that he seems to appreciate. "Yes. In France, with popularity, you always have to calculate everything. In Marrakech, I live normally and they ask me for an autograph once in five when I go shopping at Carrefour".
Niska will also take his first steps in the world of talent shows. He has been chosen to become a judge on "Nouvelle École", a rap talent show on Netflix. When asked if his collaboration with African artists is a sign that he is considering a concert in Africa, the artist says he has planned a concert in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. It will be on December 18.
