French Pundit Zemmour Sparks Outrage with Inflammatory Comments on Migrant Minors

A new outburst live for the editorialist and writer, Eric Zemmour. On the "Face à l’info" program on the Cnews television channel hosted by Christine Kelly this Wednesday, September 30, the editorialist described unaccompanied minors as "thieves, murderers and rapists". He claims that they must be sent back and that he is pressing to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), so that these young people do not return to France, reports La Dépêche.

Avalanche of reactions, indicates the newspaper: according to the Minister Delegate in charge of Equality between Women and Men, it is an "abject and racist" outburst. Élisabeth Moreno has asked the Interministerial Delegation to Combat Racism, Anti-Semitism and Anti-LGBT Hatred (DILCRAH) to refer the matter to the public prosecutor after these controversial remarks.

The program host, Christine Kelly, who did not fail to react to the controversy, was also heavily criticized on social media, following this sequence and especially in view of her past as a member of the Audiovisual Higher Council (CSA).

Several Internet users expressed their anger at these remarks. The protest movement of Twitter users even created a hashtag "BoycottCnews" calling for a boycott of the television channel.

And two for Eric Zemmour, already convicted on September 25 by the Paris court to a fine of 10,000 euros for insult and incitement to hatred. He was convicted for the remarks made on September 28, 2019 at the opening of the convention of the right organized by close associates of Marion Maréchal.

A week after this conviction in Paris, a new investigation is opening for the same reasons. The investigation has been entrusted to the brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person, the prosecution specifies.
